Now that you have gone through our website, you may have some doubts and queries. After all, your child’ education, well-being and future is of utmost importance to you. We understand. In this section, we have attempted to cover all the details about the school in the form of questions and answers. We hope that it will clarify your doubts and alleviate any worries that you have.
 
Q1. Is the CBSE School only for students who enroll for the Veda Patashala?
Ans. The CBSE School is open to ALL students. The students need not be a part of the Veda Patashala to gain admission into the CBSE School.
 
Q2. Is the facility of boarding available to the students interested in the CBSE School and NOT the Veda Patashala?
Ans. The boarding facility is only for students who have enrolled in the Veda Patashala
 
Q3. What is combination education?
Ans. The SKMVM has a school for CBSE syllabus, as well as a Veda Patashala. The Students who enroll into the Veda Patashala will have the unique advantage of this combination education.
 
Q4. What is the right age to send a child to the Vedic school?
Ans. The right age to send a child to a Vedic school is when the child is between the age group of 5 to 7 years of age, after his thread ceremony (Upanayana) is completed.
 
Q5. Who is eligible to attend this school?
Ans. Children from Brahmin families who have had their upanayanam done are eligible to attend the Veda Patashala. In the CBSE School, children are admitted regardless of caste, creed or community.
 
Q6. Is the Sri Kanchi Mahaswami Vidya Mandir co-education or only for boys?
Ans. The Veda Patashala is only for boys. The CBSE School is for both boys and girls.
 
Q7. How do you register for admissions?
Ans. Please fill up the registration from, available in the Admissions section of the website and send in your application form to:

Q8. Can students avail of holidays in the middle of a term?
Ans. Students can visit home every year during summer vacation for a period of 15 days. In case of any other reasons for the student to leave campus, the parents need to seek special permission though a letter or in person..
 
Q9. Is there transportation provided by the school?
Ans. Not as of now. In the near future, we shall make transportation arrangements for the student to be picked up from near their residenes and brought to the Vidya Mandir and back.
